I am pro-life, environmental life that is. We are very backward in the way we conduct business in this country and are very disconnected to the earth we live on. We are destroying the only planet we have. If every person int he world used energy like the average American we would need 4 Earths.
Water is a vital resource that we waste. 70% of the earth is covered in water, but only 0.1% is accessible freshwater. There are 1.1 billion people in the world that don't have access to fresh water.
America is known for dragging it's feet when it has to do something. Look at the economy for example. America was still using wood for 90% of its energy in 1850. We use coal to produce over 50% of our electricity. Even if we turn a blind eye to mountaintop-removal and strip mining for coal, the waste generated by coal is horrendous. The waste from coal contains heavy metals such as aluminum, arsenic, and mercury all of which are harmful to our health as humans and the health of the environment.
We need to employ renewable energies to supply green jobs and a cleaner future. Coal is a nonrenewable resource and we don't have to argue about that because it is scientific fact. So jobs related to coal are going to slowly go down. This could be in hundreds of years or in a few decades, but logically jobs related to nonrenewable resources are going to go down. With green jobs there is going to be a skyrocket of jobs because we need people to build these technologies and plants and then the level of jobs is going to level out and we would only need people to maintain the technology. So with green jobs we get a steady rate of jobs instead of a slowly dieing rate of jobs.
We only need to look around us to see the possibilities of green energy. Canada gets 70% of its electricity from hydropower. We only use 10% of the potential waterpower in the U.S. Wind power is the fastest growing energy source in the world today. We can also use Solar power and geothermal energy. The sun is the biggest energy source and won't run out for 5 billion years. Enough energy hits the earth in an hour to power the world for a year. By just being more efficient with our energy we can save 42% of the energy we use in the U.S.
So rethink the way we use energy!

Annam Revolution!
Annam is Sanskrit for food, and we are in (IMO) a food revolution. I believe human evolution can be overlapped on to the different chakra points, which are basically Qi (energy) centers in the body that interact with the body's ductless endocrine glands and lymphatic system by feeding in good bio-energies and disposing of unwanted bio-energies.
There are seven chakra points along the spine ranging from the Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Brow, and Crown chakras.
Base- related to instinct, security, survival and also to basic human potentiality. Physically, governs sexuality, mentally it governs stability, emotionally it governs sensuality, and spiritually it governs a sense of security
Sacral- physically it governs reproduction, mentally it governs creativity, emotionally it governs joy, and spiritually it governs enthusiasm
Solar Plexus- related to the metabolic and digestive systems. Physically, governs digestion, mentally it governs personal power, emotionally it governs expansiveness, and spiritually, all matters of growth
Heart- physically it governs circulation, emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self and others, mentally it governs passion, and spiritually it governs devotion
Throat-relating to communication and growth through expression. Physically, governs communication, emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security
Brow- relates to the access of intuition. Emotionally it deals with clarity on an intuitive level
Crown- generally considered to be the chakra of pure consciousness. Deals with the release of karma, physical action with meditation, mental action with universal consciousness and unity, and emotional action with "beingness"

I believe that we have already accomplished the base (root) chakra because we have gained security and basic human survival. We have also completed the second chakra point known as the sacral point. This can be see as the Renaissance, enlightenment period, and sky rocket population of the earth. Leading to the third chakra point the Solar Plexus.
This is the chakra dealing with digestion, personal power, expansiveness, and all matters of growth. Globalization is the physical branching and growth of our nations/states/tribes and the vast number of religions in the world is a spiritual growth never before seen. We are an information era where you can acquire any knowledge in the blink of an eye with the help of the internet, books, communication. Student Unions are popping up, free (barter) based economies arising, the free share of music, art, and information on the internet, and other various forms of personal power. There is a gradual shift happening now that is putting power the hands back into the people (PowerShift 2009) and giving them a collective voice. And one of the main aspects, physical none the less, is digestion. FOOD! You will see various diets appear and reappear, talk of subsidies to farmers, organic farming, food additives, natural food, whole food, genetically modified food, processed food, fast food, slow food, bio dynamic food, etc. Food is the topic of many discussions and controversies. Whatever you put into your body is how you are going to feel and is ultimately going to affect your body. I believe we are in a food revolution and we need to realize how we acquire our food and what we are eating. No longer can the average person remain unconscious of what they eat. Take responsibility for every dollar you lay down and every calorie going into your body!

“Do not abuse Food!”
